"A provincial antiques shop selling genuine antiques has become a rarity in this present day"
says Stephen Ferder, a second generation antiques dealer. Stephen has opened a small shop in Lyndhurst next door to the premises where his parents started the well-known business "Lita Kaye Antiques" in 1952.
"I was literally born into the business." "I specialise in mostly small pieces of early 19th century English porcelain, some Continental pieces, glass, and a good array of small period boxes. All would make ideal gifts or an addition to any home. I am happy to spend time and discuss individual items with collectors, a service not available at most antiques centres where purchasers are left to their own devices."
Prices start at £25 upwards. In addition, there is a 'Vintage Basement' showroom where genuine vintage items from the 1930s to 1970s are displayed in an interesting room setting.
It is advisable to phone in advance when visiting the shop.
